Influencer marketing should be simple: creators tell authentic stories, brands reach engaged communities. Everyone wins.
However, the model is broken. Projects burn budget on fake followers and bot engagement. Deals mostly happen behind closed doors as agencies control access, taking huge cuts while funneling deals to the same few influencers. Smaller creators, often with the most engaged audiences, get shut out. Analyzing a post based on its metrics? It's next to impossible.
In Web3, that’s existential: Communities move fast, and often short-lived narratives shape the market. Yet we're stuck with Web2's opaque, overpriced marketing machine that optimizes for vanity metrics instead of real impact. It’s time to fix this, which is why we’re launching Rally, the first decentralized, AI-verified marketing protocol.
The Inflection Point
We’re at a tipping point. AI has made content production effortless, resulting in an explosion of noise.
Current “Mindshare” dashboards emerged to track who’s talking about whom, but counting volume isn’t the same as measuring value. The result? Marketing budgets are thrown at walls, hoping something sticks.
Rally changes the game by putting content evaluation at the center. Multiple AI models score submissions for accuracy, alignment, compliance, and originality, then factor in real engagement. A system that rewards signal over noise.
Projects control exactly who participates, whether through open access, verified creators only, follower thresholds, or curated whitelists. This allows projects to ensure the right voices appear for each campaign.
The timing is right because the infrastructure finally is. AI can evaluate content at scale, and blockchain can verify and settle outcomes. Rally combines both through GenLayer's Intelligent Contracts, enabling trustless, transparent marketing at machine speed.
Rally is the Paradigm Shift
Traditional influencer marketing is flawed. Coordination is fragmented: brands spend weeks chasing KOLs across Telegram chats, email threads, and DMs with little success or control. Middlemen exploit this chaos, charging fees of 20 to 30 % just to broker access between projects and creators. Once deals are struck, pricing is opaque, with creators often overcharging based on follower counts. This results in brands overpaying for vanity metrics, while nobody knows whether the campaign worked.
The result: inefficiency and distrust across the entire chain. Projects struggle to prove ROI, talented creators without connections get excluded, and communities consume a stream of copy-paste content. This is the broken loop Rally was designed to fix.
How Rally works
The Rally app is a marketplace that brings together brands and content creators. Projects set up campaigns with clear parameters: budget, timeline, and a knowledge base (AI's source of truth for verification). They define specific missions (e.g., tweet, thread, reply) and set participation criteria.
Creators then pick missions and publish content. Rally’s system evaluates submissions for quality and accuracy, and assigns Campaign Points based on merit and engagement, then triggers automatic onchain payouts. Everything is transparent: evaluation, attribution, and payouts. At the end of each campaign, these Campaign Points automatically convert into Rally Points (RLP), the protocol’s payout unit.
What Rally provides:
- AI‑Verified Scoring: Multiple models independently score every submission, eliminating single points of failure and preventing gaming.
- Programmable Targeting: Projects precisely control participation through open access, verified-only, follower thresholds, or curated whitelists.
- Onchain Settlement (via Intelligent Contracts): Smart contracts automatically release funds only for verified content, with every payout and metric recorded onchain.
- Multi‑Chain: Campaigns run seamlessly across Base and zkSync Era, with more chains coming soon.
- Scalability: Scale from 10 to 10,000 creators without additional coordination overhead, as the protocol handles everything automatically.
That’s the paradigm shift: a protocol that rewards verified contributions and makes outcomes verifiable for everyone involved.
For Projects: Smarter Campaigns, Real Communities
Rally converts campaign budget into verified results. Here’s how scoring works in practice:
- Quality Gates: Every submission must pass four AI‑checked gates: alignment, accuracy, compliance, and originality.
- Dual Scoring: Campaign Points combine a fixed quality component (rewarding substance) with dynamic engagement metrics (rewarding reach and resonance).
- Smart Resubmissions: Campaigns are divided into multiple periods. Each new period, creators can resubmit their posts so that updated engagement is counted. Importantly, only the new engagement since the last period is added, preventing double-counting and spam.
Flexible distribution, Clear Economics
Projects choose how concentrated or broad rewards should be using reward curves (ranging from defaults to fully flexible options). That lets campaign creators run, for instance, a top‑heavy “elite creator” sprint or a broad “community education” campaign where many contributors earn meaningfully.
Budgets are deposited into the contract, and rewards are distributed automatically to verified contributions. Attribution and analytics are onchain, and platform economics are clear, giving teams an auditable trail of what was paid for and why.
For Creators: Fair Rewards, Instant Access
Rally is a merit‑based path to earnings: accurate, on‑brief, original content that a project's audience engages with will be rewarded.
- Content Scoring: Content is evaluated on quality (alignment, accuracy, originality), and on performance (engagement, reach, resonance).
- Instant Rewards: Creators earn Rally Points immediately after the campaign period ends.
- Referral Rewards: Rally includes a referral system designed to reward ecosystem growth. People who refer other projects or creators earn 10% of their Campaign Points. Every new person referred keeps paying dividends.
Rally Points are the protocol’s unit that converts campaign contributions into onchain payouts per campaign rules.
Bottom line: Each campaign values different strengths - quality, reach, or both. The scoring is transparent, the rules are public, and payment is automatic.
How to Participate?
Alpha is live with select projects and creators. Everyone can join the waitlist now, and top contributors will be invited to test Alpha before Rally Beta opens. Waitlist priority is determined by Access Points, which you earn through referrals and your influence scores. Join the GenLayer community for weekly POAP drops that unlock early access, which are earned through AMAs and livestreams. After a few weeks of Alpha, we’ll open Rally Beta.
Referral Rewards
Invite others to Rally and earn alongside them. Referring creators gives you 10% of their Campaign Points from every campaign they join. Referring a project earns you 10% of that project’s Campaign Points allocation.
This is the future: marketing as a protocol, trust as code, and value as consensus.
